Brown has gained a stellar reputation as one of the bright new talents on the scene, working with a who's who of Jazz artist.

This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

He is a uniquely talented performer and educator, and a man in whom I trust and for whom I hold great admiration.

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

The Christopher Brown Quartet

  • The 1905 830 N Shaver St Portland, OR. 97227 (map)

I'm happy to announce that the quartet has now found a new home at The 1905 on Wednesday's to replace our old residency at the dearly departed venue Jimmy Mak's. And for once this will be a great opportunity for those (especially young musicians) who are under 21 to come observe this group in action. So again, we look forward to further developing our relationship with this new venue, as it appears that it has already begun to make a rather sizable impact on the cultural scene of this music that we call Jazz, here in Portland.

John Nastos (Alto Sax)

Greg Goebel (Piano)

Dylan Sundstrom (Bass)

Christopher "TCOM" Brown (Drums)
