This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

The Christopher Brown Quartet @ Albina Jazz Fest

  • Stingray Cafe 240 North Broadway Portland, OR, 97227 United States (map)

The Albina Jazz Festival will be touching down for the first time ever as it aims to pay homage to the easily forgotten legacy of Jazz music in Portland, OR. And thus it's only fitting that they have chosen to host it at the Stingray Cafe (located inside the Left Bank building), as this location was once home to one of the most notable Jazz clubs in Portland's history. So as a personal exponent of the tradition of Jazz here in Portland, I'm delighted to be connected to such an event.
