This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

He is a uniquely talented performer and educator, and a man in whom I trust and for whom I hold great admiration.

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

The Mel Brown B-3 Organ Group (feat. Christopher Brown)

  • Jack London Revue 529 Southwest 4th Avenue Portland, OR, 97204 United States (map)

It’s not often that my father and I get a chance to share a stage together. But when it happens, it feels like a dream fulfilled every time. And so here’s another opportunity for the two of us to perform together once again, but in a much larger context. In fact, the last time we performed together on behalf of the PDX Jazz Festival was around 2008. And so here we are, 14 years later, doing it all over again. So since these occasions tend to be few and far between, you’ll want to take advantage of being present for this show while you can.
