This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

He is a uniquely talented performer and educator, and a man in whom I trust and for whom I hold great admiration.

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

Christopher Brown Trio

  • The Benson 309 Southwest Broadway Portland, OR, 97201 United States (map)

As we continue to navigate the uncertainties within our society today, it’s important that we don’t lose sight of our fundamentals, which in this case relates to our emotional and intellectual disposition (as this will always serve as either the glue that holds us together or the wedge that divides us even more). And since logic is just emotion wrapped in the skin of a reason, it means that if we’re to heal our society, it has to be treated at the emotional level, for which music is perfectly positioned to respond to. So as we collectively work to instill a renewed sense of hope for the future of Portland in all the ways we can, this new music series at The Benson Hotel is designed to help move the needle in the right direction. And what better way to do so than through the power of Jazz. So we look forward to seeing you there at this FREE event!!!
