This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

Eugene Symphony Meets Jazz (Wynton Marsalis Swing Symphony)

  • The Hult Center 1 Eugene Center Eugene, OR, 97401 United States (map)

Come join myself and the rest of the musicians who’ll be involved in performing Wynton Marsalis's groundbreaking compositions with the majestic Eugene Symphony on May 22!

Darrell Grant, a jazz titan in his own right, will be leading myself and 14 other Jazz musicians through Marsalis's rich tapestry of sound, as we weave together New Orleans Ragtime, Kansas Swing, and the electrifying pulse of New York City bebop along with the members of the Eugene Symphony. This won’t be just another concert. It’ll be a journey through the heart of American jazz, a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Don’t miss this spectacular send-off for the visionary Music Director and Artistic Partner, Francesco Lecce-Chong. Also, join the after-party in the Hult Center lobby to toast Francesco Lecce-Chong’s 8-year tenure with the Eugene Symphony.

Please note, Wynton Marsalis will not be performing at the concert.
