This quartet is so amazing on so many different levels...go see 'em whilst they still exist in PDX. I really think this one could go a long way in the Jazz world!

He is a uniquely talented performer and educator, and a man in whom I trust and for whom I hold great admiration.

I used him almost exclusively in my band when he used to reside in the NYC area, as he always brought so much knowledge and artistry to the music. And combined with his multi-instrumentalist abilities, Chris Brown is a unique talent that's not often found.

  • The 1905 830 North Shaver Street Portland, OR, 97227 United States (map)

The moment that so many people in both Portland and throughout the country have been waiting for is finally here. The famed 1905 Jazz club is back in action and under new management. As someone who maintained a strong weekly residency with this club throughout the first iteration of its existence, I undoubtedly have a soft spot for this venue, as it gave me a platform to further develop my brand and band sound. Not to mention, it did a fantastic job of carrying the cultural torch forward for Jazz in Portland after the closing of Jimmy Maks at the end of 2016. So while you might here of a few smaller private events that will be taking place at the club before April 19th, this date will be the official re-opening of this iconic venue to the rest of the world. And I couldn’t be more excited and honored to help kick it off!

With that said, know that this event will undoubtedly sell out. So as soon as tickets are available, you’ll want to get your right away!!!
